ABOUT TCS
The Tanzania Computer Society (TCS) is the apex professional body representing Information and Communications Technology (ICT) professionals in Tanzania. Our mission is to promote excellence, ethical practice, and continuous professional development across the ICT sector, while fostering innovation and collaboration for national and regional digital growth.
TCS is a partner of the TICON Africa 2025 Conference and aspires to become a full member of IFIP (www.ifip.org) , the global umbrella body for national ICT professional societies. Our vision is to create a vibrant, inclusive, and globally connected digital community in Tanzania that drives technological advancement and economic transformation in Tanzania and East Africa Region.
From its inception, TCS has benefited from strong international support and the Guidance of the Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL), the International Federation for Information Processing (IFIP), and International Professional Practice Partnership( IFIP/IP3). Formed in 2025, TCS emerged through the close collaboration with the IFIP and Computer Society of Sri Lanka (CSSL) representative who was on a business mission to Tanzania in 2024.
TCS welcomes all ICT professionals, academics, students, and industry leaders to join us in shaping the future of technology in Tanzania and beyond.
